Sins of a Solar Empire is a space-bound game. The playing field is a 3D web of planets and other celestial objects in the orbital plane of one or more stars. It features a sandbox mode, allowing the player to choose different types of solar systems to unlock achievements. Players can view entire star systems, then zoom in to their planets, individual fleets, starships, and even fighters, similar to the strategic zoom featured in the 2007 RTS title Supreme Commander.

Szósta już część bardzo znanej serii FPS-ów Call of Duty. Gra kontynuuje wątki czwartej części sagi i po raz drugi w jej historii skupia się na współczesnych realiach wojskowych.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to już szósta odsłona znanej serii Call of Duty. Chociaż formalnie następuje po Call of Duty: World at War to jednak gra jest duchową i merytoryczną kontynuacją czwartej części, czyli Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, stworzonej przez Infinity Ward i wydanej przez Activision w 2007 roku.
Saga Call of Duty zwykle przenosi nas do czasów II Wojny Światowej. W przypadku czwartej odsłony, czyli wspomnianego Modern Warfare, autorzy postanowili zrezygnować z tego okresu historycznego na rzecz współczesności, skupiając się na realiach obecnej armii, pełnej technologicznych nowinek i gadżetów. Ekipa z Infinity Ward postanowiła ponownie podjąć ten temat także w tym tytule.
Wcielamy się w żołnierza współczesnej armii, by wykonać szereg niebezpiecznych i zróżnicowanych misji, podczas których wykorzystywać możemy najnowocześniejsze uzbrojenie oraz wyposażenie. Autorzy odwzorowali wiele najnowszych technologii wojskowych i starali się wiernie przenieść je do postaci wirtualnej. Ważnym aspektem gry są również bardzo urozmaicone i intensywne misjeuczestniczymy tylko i wyłącznie w niezwykle dynamicznych operacjach militarnych. Często podczas nich wykorzystujemy rozmaite pojazdy i dodatkowy sprzęt oraz działamy w większej grupie.
Twórcy przygotowali widowiskową oprawę audiowizualną oraz bardzo rozbudowany moduł rozgrywki sieciowej, składający się z kilku ciekawych form zabawy. Nowością jest tryb Special Ops, w ramach którego przygotowano kilkadziesiąt krótkich, lecz niezwykle dynamicznych zadań. Można je wykonywać samemu lub w trybie kooperacji z innym graczem przez Internet lub na podzielonym ekranie.
